Manuel Domingos Vicente (born 15 May 1956) is an Angolan politician. He served as the vice president of Angola from September 2012 to September 2017. Before this, he was the chief executive officer of Sonangol, Angola's state oil company, for many years. He also worked briefly as a government minister in 2012.

Manuel Vicente is known for his important roles in Angola's government and its oil industry. His work at Sonangol, the national oil company, was very significant. He helped manage Angola's oil resources, which are vital to the country's economy. Later, as Vice President, he supported the President in leading the nation.
Early Life and Education
Manuel Vicente was born on 15 May 1956, in the Sambizanga neighborhood of Luanda. His father was a shoemaker, and his mother worked as a laundress. He was raised by Isabel Eduardo dos Santos, the eldest sister of President José Eduardo dos Santos.
He attended the São Domingos Mission School for his primary and secondary education. Due to financial challenges, he had to pause his studies. During this time, he worked as a locksmith and a linotypist to help his family.
In 1983, he earned a degree in electronic engineering from the University of Angola. After graduating, he worked as a chief engineer in the 1980s. From 1987 to 1991, he led the technical department of the Ministry of Oil. In 1991, he became the Deputy Director-General of Sonangol, the state oil company.
