Getting to Maokong: The Gondola Ride

Getting to Maokong is part of the adventure! The Maokong Gondola is a special cable car system. It started running on July 4, 2007. The gondola connects to the Wenhu line of the Taipei Metro at Taipei Zoo.

The gondola was built to make it easier for everyone to reach Maokong. This includes both people who live nearby and tourists. The service was stopped for a while in 2008 because of mudslides. But after fixing the support pillars and checking everything was safe, the gondola started running again on March 31, 2010. It's a fun and easy way to get up the mountain and see great views!
