Marcus Scribner, born on January 7, 2000, is an American actor. He is famous for playing Andre "Junior" Johnson Jr. in the TV show Black-ish. He also continued this role in the spin-off series Grown-ish, where he became the main character and narrator.
Besides live-action roles, Marcus is also a voice actor. He voiced the character Bow in the animated Netflix series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. He also voiced D’Angelo Baker in DreamWorks Dragons: The Nine Realms. In 2023, Marcus appeared in his first major movie released in theaters, called How to Blow Up a Pipeline.

Early Life and Education
Marcus Scribner grew up in Los Angeles, California. His name, along with his father's name Troy and sister's name Athena, comes from ancient Roman and Greek stories. He even has a dog named Zeus!
Marcus started acting classes when he was seven years old. He was very shy back then and didn't have many hobbies. But he quickly fell in love with acting. He also enjoys sports like basketball and lacrosse, and he loves playing video games. Marcus began public high school in 2014, but by 2015, he started homeschooling to fit his busy acting schedule.
Acting Career Highlights
Starting Out in Television
When Marcus was 10, he got his first TV role on the show Castle. He then appeared in episodes of other popular shows like New Girl, Wedding Band, and Wendell & Vinnie.
Becoming Junior in Black-ish
At age 14, Marcus got his biggest role yet: Andre Johnson Jr. in the ABC sitcom Black-ish. He starred alongside well-known actors like Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross. Marcus felt a strong connection to the show's story. For his work in the first season, he was nominated for an NAACP Image Award.
Voice Acting and Movies
In 2015, Marcus lent his voice to the character Buck in the Pixar animated movie The Good Dinosaur. He also voiced Smudge in the Netflix animated series Home: Adventures with Tip & Oh.
Later, Marcus began working on the independent comedy film Alexander IRL. In 2018, he was cast in a thriller movie called "Confessional."
She-Ra and Grown-ish
Marcus voiced Bow in the animated Netflix series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. Bow is a skilled archer and a loyal friend to Glimmer and She-Ra.
In March 2022, it was announced that Marcus would move from Black-ish to its spin-off, Grown-ish. He took on the lead role of Andre Johnson Jr. in Grown-ish starting with its fifth season, becoming the narrator of the series.
