Marcus Lataives Webb was born on May 9, 1970. He is an American former professional basketball player. He played for many teams around the world, including a short time in the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Early Life and College Basketball
Marcus Webb grew up in Montgomery, Alabama. He played basketball at Sidney Lanier High School. After high school, he went on to play college basketball for the University of Alabama. He was part of the Alabama Crimson Tide team from 1988 to 1992.
Playing Professional Basketball
In 1992, Marcus Webb was chosen in the Continental Basketball Association (CBA) Draft. He was the 28th player picked overall. He got to play in the NBA for a short time. He played nine games with the Boston Celtics during the 1992–93 season. In those games, he scored about 4.3 points and grabbed 1.1 rebounds per game.
After his time in the NBA, Marcus Webb played for many different teams in various countries. He played in France, Turkey, Russia, Cyprus, and Puerto Rico. He even won the Russian Superleague championship twice, in 1997 and 1998, while playing for CSKA Moscow. He finished his professional basketball career in Argentina in 2005.
