Maurice Rodney "Mardy" Collins (born August 4, 1984) is an American former professional basketball player. He played college basketball at Temple University. The New York Knicks chose him in the first round of the 2006 NBA draft. Collins played for the Knicks and the Los Angeles Clippers. After that, he played for many different teams in other countries.

High School Career
Mardy Collins went to Simon Gratz High School in Philadelphia. Other famous NBA players like Aaron McKie and Rasheed Wallace also went to this school.
College Career
Basketball scouts were very impressed by Mardy's defense and how well he played with his team. During his 2005–06 season at Temple University, he made 89 steals. He was especially good at stepping in front of passes to steal the ball. He also scored about 17 points, grabbed almost 5 rebounds, and made 4 assists per game.
Professional Career
Playing for the New York Knicks
Mardy Collins played for the New York Knicks from 2006 to 2008. In his first season (2006–2007), he played in 52 games. He averaged about 4.5 points, 2 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game. Towards the end of that season, he played more minutes. In those last ten games, he averaged much higher numbers. He scored about 14.7 points, grabbed 6.3 rebounds, and made 5.8 assists per game.
On December 16, 2006, during a game against the Denver Nuggets, Mardy was involved in an incident. He committed a hard foul against a Nuggets player. This led to a big confrontation on the court. All ten players who were on the floor at that time were sent out of the game. Mardy Collins was suspended for six games because of this.
On April 7, 2007, he played a career-high 51 minutes against the Milwaukee Bucks. In that game, he scored 19 points, had 12 rebounds, 8 assists, and 5 steals.
Playing for the Los Angeles Clippers
On November 21, 2008, Mardy Collins and another player, Zach Randolph, were traded. They went to the Los Angeles Clippers. In return, the Knicks received Tim Thomas and Cuttino Mobley.
Playing for the Los Angeles D-Fenders
On December 28, 2011, Mardy Collins joined the Los Angeles D-Fenders. This team was part of the NBA's development league.
Playing Internationally

On September 26, 2014, he signed with the Polish team Turów Zgorzelec.
For the 2015–16 season, Collins signed with Strasbourg IG in France.
On July 27, 2016, Mardy Collins signed with PBC Lokomotiv-Kuban in Russia. He played for them for the 2016–17 season. On August 17, 2017, he signed again with Lokomotiv for another season.

In the summer of 2017, Mardy Collins played in The Basketball Tournament. This event is shown on ESPN. He played for a team called City of Gods. In their first game, Mardy scored 10 points, had eight rebounds, and seven assists. However, his team lost by a close score. Mardy also played in TBT in 2015. That summer, he played one game and had 18 points, 12 rebounds, and nine assists.
