Margunn Bjørnholt (born 9 October 1958) is a smart Norwegian expert who studies people and how money works. Early Studies and Degrees
She earned her first degree from the University of Tromsø in 1981. After that, she studied European economics at the College of Europe in 1982. Later, she got her PhD in economic sociology from the University of Oslo in 1995. Her research then was about banks that help people with small loans and banks that don't charge interest.

Advocacy for Women's Rights
In the early 1980s, she worked as a journalist for a feminist radio station called radiOrakel. She was the president of the Norwegian Association for Women's Rights from 2013 to 2016. She also led the Norwegian Women's Lobby and was on the board of the International Alliance of Women.
The Norwegian government chose her to be part of Norway's team at the UN Commission on the Status of Women meetings in 2015 and 2016. She also ran for the Green Party in the local elections in 2015.
