Mariusz Stępiński's Football Journey

Starting His Career in Poland

Mariusz Stępiński began his football journey in his home country, Poland. He played for youth teams like Piast Błaszki and Pogoń-Ekolog Zduńska Wola. In 2011, he joined Ekstraklasa club Widzew Łódź. He played 33 games for them and scored five goals over two seasons.

Playing in Germany and France

In 2013, Mariusz moved to Germany to play for Bundesliga club 1. FC Nürnberg. He signed a three-year contract with them. Later, in 2016, he moved to France to join FC Nantes in Ligue 1, which is the top football league in France.

Time in Italy

Mariusz then moved to Italy. In 2017, he was loaned to Chievo. A loan means a player temporarily plays for another team. He later signed a permanent deal with Chievo. In 2019, he joined Verona, first on loan and then permanently. He also played for Lecce on loan in 2020.

Success in Cyprus with Aris Limassol

In 2021, Mariusz was loaned to the Cypriot club Aris Limassol. He played his first game for them on August 22, 2021. He later joined Aris Limassol permanently in 2022. He helped his team win their first-ever national championship, which was a very big achievement for the club!

Mariusz Stępiński has represented his home country, Poland, at many different youth levels. This means he played for teams like Poland U15, U16, U17, and so on. He made his first game for the senior Poland team on February 2, 2013. This was in a friendly match against Romania, which Poland won 4–1. Mariusz came into the game in the 84th minute.
