Mariusz Stępiński has played for many different football clubs throughout his career. He has also represented his home country, Poland, in various international matches.

Starting His Career in Poland

Mariusz began his football journey playing for youth teams like Piast Błaszki and Pogoń-Ekolog Zduńska Wola. In 2011, when he was 16, he joined Ekstraklasa club Widzew Łódź. He played 33 games for them and scored five goals over two seasons.

Playing in Germany and France

In 2013, Mariusz moved to Germany to play for 1. FC Nürnberg, a club in the Bundesliga. He signed a three-year contract with them. Later, in 2016, he moved to France and joined FC Nantes in Ligue 1, which is the top football league in France.

Adventures in Italy

Mariusz then moved to Italy. In 2017, he was loaned to Chievo. A loan means a player temporarily moves to another club. He played well there, and in 2018, he joined Chievo permanently. In 2019, he moved to Verona, first on loan and then permanently. In October 2020, he was loaned to Lecce.

Success in Cyprus

In August 2021, Mariusz was loaned to Aris Limassol in Cyprus. He made his first appearance for them on August 22, 2021. He returned to Aris permanently in August 2022. He played a big part in helping Aris Limassol win their first-ever domestic championship in the 2022–23 season. This was a huge achievement for the club!

Joining Omonia

In January 2024, Mariusz Stępiński moved to Omonia, another club in Cyprus. He continues to play as a striker for them.

Playing for His Country: Poland

Mariusz Stępiński has represented Poland at many different age levels, starting from the Under-15 team. He played in the 2012 UEFA European Under-17 Football Championship. He made his first appearance for the senior Polish national team on February 2, 2013, in a friendly match against Romania. Poland won that game 4–1. He was also part of the senior squad for the UEFA Euro 2016 tournament.
