During his high school years, Mark was known as one of the best wide receivers in the country. A group called PrepStar even ranked him as the fourth-best wide receiver in the whole nation. He was also ranked number one in the western United States.
Mark was not only great at football but also at basketball. He was chosen as an "All-City" player twice for both sports. This shows he was a very talented athlete in high school.
