Professional Career Highlights

Joining the Baltimore Ravens

2013: A Strong Start

On April 28, 2013, Marlon Brown signed with the Baltimore Ravens. He joined them as an undrafted free agent. This means he wasn't picked in the main NFL draft. However, the Ravens still wanted him on their team. Brown was one of only two new players who weren't drafted to make the team's main roster.

He played his first NFL game on September 5, 2013, against the Denver Broncos. In that game, Brown caught his first pass and scored his first touchdown. Later that season, in Week 14, he caught a game-winning touchdown pass. This amazing catch happened with only four seconds left! It helped the Ravens beat the Minnesota Vikings 29–26. For this great performance, Brown won the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week award.

Brown led the Ravens in receiving touchdowns that year. He scored seven touchdowns, which tied a team record for a rookie player. He was also the first rookie in Ravens history to score a touchdown in his first two games. He ended his first season with 49 catches for 524 yards.

2014: A New Role

In 2014, the Ravens signed another wide receiver, Steve Smith Sr. This meant Marlon Brown became a backup player. In his second season, he had 24 catches for 255 yards. He did not score any touchdowns that year.

Brown played in his first playoff game on January 10, 2015. This game was against the New England Patriots. In two playoff games, he caught 6 passes for 48 yards.

2015: Dealing with Injuries

During the 2015 season, Brown hurt his back. This happened in a game against the St. Louis Rams. Because of his injury, he could not play in many games. On December 29, 2015, he was placed on the injured reserve list. This ended his season early. He finished his third NFL season with 14 catches for 112 yards and no touchdowns.

Time with the Denver Broncos

Marlon Brown signed a one-year contract with the Denver Broncos on July 27, 2016. However, he was waived (released) soon after on August 4, 2016. This was due to another back injury he got during training camp. He later rejoined the Broncos on November 21, 2016. But on December 10, 2016, he was again placed on injured reserve.

After the pre-season in 2017, the Broncos released Brown on September 2, 2017.

Playing for the Chicago Bears

On April 19, 2018, Brown signed with the Chicago Bears. After the pre-season, on September 1, 2018, he was placed on injured reserve because of a concussion. A concussion is a type of brain injury. He was released by the Bears on October 16, 2018.
