Antônio Marcos da Silva Filho, better known as Marquinhos Paraná or simply Marquinhos, is a former professional Brazilian football player. He was born on July 20, 1977. Marquinhos played as a right-back or a defensive midfielder. He finished his playing career with Ventforet Kofu in Japan.

About Marquinhos Paraná
Marquinhos Paraná started his football journey in Brazil. He played for several clubs there. In 2003, he played for Marília, scoring one goal in nine games. The next year, he moved to Avaí, where he played 25 games and scored two goals.
Playing for Figueirense
From 2005 to 2006, Marquinhos played for Figueirense. He was a key player for them, appearing in 76 matches and scoring four goals. His strong performance helped him get noticed by teams outside Brazil.
Time in Japan
In 2007, Marquinhos moved to Japan to play for Júbilo Iwata. He played 28 league games and scored two goals during his time there. He also played in cup matches.
Return to Brazil with Cruzeiro
After his contract with Júbilo Iwata ended in January 2008, Marquinhos returned to Brazil. He joined Cruzeiro, a big club in Brazil. Two of his teammates, Fabrício and Henrique, also joined Cruzeiro around the same time. Marquinhos played many games for Cruzeiro, appearing in 128 matches between 2008 and 2011. He signed a new two-year contract with the club in January 2010.
Later Career
In 2012, Marquinhos played for Sport and then América Mineiro. He later returned to Japan to play for Ventforet Kofu from 2013 to 2016, where he played 86 games.
