Mars Nederland is the Dutch part of a big company called Mars, Incorporated. This company makes many things like yummy chocolates, pet food, and other snacks. Their main office and biggest factory are in Veghel, a town in North Brabant, Netherlands. They also have another factory in Oud-Beijerland. The chocolate factory in Veghel is super important. It's the largest Mars factory in the world and one of the biggest chocolate factories anywhere! This factory first opened its doors in 1963. Mars has more than 230 factories and offices all over the globe.
How Mars Nederland Works
The main Mars factory is located in Veghel, in the southern part of the Netherlands. About 1200 people work at the Mars Veghel site. The factory is near the A50 motorway, making it easy to transport products. A canal called the Zuid-Willemsvaart also runs close by.
Other Locations
Mars also has another factory in Oud-Beijerland, which is further north. About 250 people work there. This factory makes products like Dolmio sauces and other items that are not chocolate. Jack Tabbers is the General Manager of Mars Nederland.
What Products Does Mars Nederland Make?
The Veghel factory makes many popular chocolate bars. These include well-known treats like Mars, Bounty, Snickers, and Milky Way. Every year, this factory produces a huge amount of chocolate products. They make about 254,000 tonnes of chocolate each year!
