Marta Pessarrodona was born in Terrassa, a city in Catalonia, Spain, on November 18, 1941.
Her Work and Studies
In 1986, she started teaching Spanish at the University of Nottingham in England. She also helped lead a group that shares Catalan culture with people around the world. This group was part of the Department of Culture of the Catalan government.
In 2010, Marta was doing research at the National Archive of Catalonia. She was studying the history of Spanish people who had to leave their country, especially during the Spanish Civil War.
