Martha Zeller (born March 14, 1918 – died September 6, 2014) was a famous Mexican singer. People called her "La Novia de la Radio," which means "The Sweetheart of Radio." She earned this name because of her beautiful voice, her charm, and how popular she was on Mexican radio.

Early Life and Career Start
Martha Zeller was born in Pachuca, a city in Hidalgo, Mexico. She started her singing career after winning a special contest. This contest was for amateur singers and was sponsored by a big radio station in Mexico City called XEW.
Martha won the contest by singing a type of song called a bolero, specifically one named "Perfidia." After her win, she became an exclusive artist for radio station XEW. This meant she performed only for them. Later, she also sang at a very famous nightclub in Mexico City called El Patio.

Martha Zeller recorded many songs during her career. She released 35 singles, which are individual songs. She also made 3 LP records and 2 extended plays (EPs). These are collections of songs.
Her talent took her beyond Mexico. She went on tours to many different countries. She performed in the United States, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Panama, and Brazil.

Besides singing, Martha Zeller also appeared in Mexican movies. She acted in films like Una mujer con pasado (which means A Woman with a Past) in 1949. She also appeared in the movie Vagabunda (meaning Vagabond) in 1950.

- On July 31, 2013, the culture institute of Veracruz (Instituto Veracruzano de la Cultura) held a special event to celebrate her. This event took place at the Agustín Lara house museum in Boca del Río, Veracruz.
- On October 16, 2013, the government of Veracruz state and the city council of Veracruz gave her an important award. It was called the Toña la Negra Medal. They gave it to her for her 80-year career and for her important contributions to Mexican and world culture.
- On November 11, 2013, Mexico's national sound library (Fonoteca Nacional) also paid tribute to her. This event was also held at the Agustín Lara house museum.
Martha Zeller passed away on September 6, 2014, in Veracruz.
