Masao Nozawa (野澤 正雄, Nozawa Masao) was a Japanese soccer player. He played as a Midfielder and was part of the Japan national team. Interestingly, his brother, Akira Nozawa, also played for the Japan national team!
Playing for Japan
Masao Nozawa was born in Hiroshima Prefecture. In May 1930, while he was a student at the Tokyo Imperial University, he was chosen to play for the Japan national team. This was for the 1930 Far Eastern Championship Games, which took place in Tokyo. Japan ended up winning the championship that year!
During this competition, Masao Nozawa played his first game for Japan on May 25. He played against the team from the Philippines. A few days later, on May 29, he also played in a match against the team from the Republic of China. In total, he played 2 games for Japan in 1930.
