Masato Morishige (森重 真人, Morishige Masato) is a Japanese professional footballer. He was born on May 21, 1987. He plays as a centre-back for the club FC Tokyo. A centre-back is a defensive player in football. Their main job is to stop the other team from scoring goals.

Playing for Japan
Masato Morishige has played for Japan's national football teams. He started with the younger teams.
Japan's Youth Teams
In July 2007, Morishige was chosen for the Japan U20 national team. This team played in the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup. He played three matches in this tournament. He played as a defensive midfielder. This position helps protect the defence.
