MASH stands for "Modern American Steak House." It is a group of popular restaurants that specialize in serving delicious steaks. The first MASH restaurant started in Copenhagen, Denmark.
History of MASH
The very first MASH steakhouse opened its doors in 2009. It was located on a street called Bredgade in Copenhagen. People quickly loved their food.
In 2012, MASH opened a new restaurant in London, England. This restaurant was on Brewer Street in the Soho area. A newspaper called The Telegraph said in 2013 that MASH had made the steak restaurant scene in London very exciting. The London restaurant even won an award for "Restaurant of the Year" in 2013.
MASH continued to grow. In August 2015, the first MASH restaurant in Germany opened. It is located in the city of Hamburg.
Who Owns MASH?
MASH is owned by a company called Copenhagen Concepts. This company also manages other restaurants, like Le Sommelier and Umami.
The main leader of Copenhagen Concepts is Jesper Boelskifte. He is the Chief Executive Officer, or CEO. This means he is in charge of the whole company. Other owners include Mikkel Glahn and Erik Gemal. A chef named Francis Cardenau helped start MASH. He later sold his part of the company in 2017.
