Mateo Joseph Fernández-Regatillo (born October 19, 2003) is a Spanish professional footballer. He plays as a forward for the English club Leeds United.

Club Career
Early Days in Football
Mateo Joseph was born in Santander, Spain. He grew up in Escobedo de Camargo. He started playing football for a local team called Escobedo.
In 2017, he joined the academy of Espanyol. This happened after he had a very successful season playing for Racing Santander.
Playing for Leeds United
On January 4, 2022, Mateo moved to England. He joined the English club Leeds United. He signed a contract for three years.
When he first arrived, he played for their Under-23 team. Mateo made his first professional game for Leeds United on November 9, 2022. This was an EFL Cup match against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Just three days later, he played his first Premier League game. He came on as a substitute against Tottenham Hotspur.
