Matthew 'Matt' Roberts, born on November 5, 1977, is an English TV presenter. He is well known for his work on motorcycle racing. He used to cover MotoGP for BBC Sport. Later, he covered superbike races in the UK.

Matt's School Days
Matt Roberts went to All Saints High School in Huddersfield. He also studied at Greenhead College and Huddersfield University.
More recently, Matt has been studying for a special degree. This degree is called a Master of Sport Directorship. He is taking it at Manchester Metropolitan University.
Reporting on Fast Bikes
Matt Roberts started working in MotoGP in 2001. He began as a writer and then became a commentator. From 2005, he took on more roles at the races. He helped create news for different teams. He also wrote articles for magazines in many countries.
Matt has also reported a lot on the Isle of Man TT Races. At first, he interviewed the riders. In 2019, he became the main presenter for the ITV4 TV coverage. He worked with Jodie Kidd at first. Since 2022, he has presented with Steve Plater.
In 2008, Matt was a pit-lane reporter for BBC Sport at MotoGP races. A pit-lane reporter talks to riders and teams right next to the race track. In 2009, he became a main presenter for some races.
Matt shared presenting duties for MotoGP with Suzi Perry in 2009. Suzi presented races in Europe. Matt presented all the races outside Europe. He said he was a bit nervous about talking straight to the camera.
In 2010, Jennie Gow became the main presenter. Matt went back to his pit-lane reporter job. In 2011, Matt became the full-time main presenter again. Azi Farni took over his old pit-lane job.
The BBC stopped showing MotoGP in 2014. After that, Matt joined Eurosport. He became the main presenter for their coverage of the Superbike World Championship. He also covered the British Superbike Championship. He worked with James Haydon and James Whitham.

Matt Roberts lives in a village called Stainland in Calderdale. He plays football for Huddersfield YMCA. This team is in the Yorkshire Amateur League.
Matt is a big fan of Huddersfield Town, a football team. Once, on a MotoGP show, Matt interviewed the famous racer Valentino Rossi. They played a game of table football. Matt told Rossi about his dream football team. Rossi then joked that Andy Booth was the second-best striker in the world, after Ibrahimovic!
