Gianmatteo Vittorio Fernan Guidicelli (born March 26, 1990), known as Matteo Guidicelli, is a Filipino actor, model, and singer. He is also a military officer and used to be a kart racer.

Matteo Guidicelli's Early Life and Start

Matteo Guidicelli was born in Cebu City, Philippines. His father, Gianluca Guidicelli, is Italian, and his mother, Glenna Fernan, is Filipino. Matteo has two siblings. His grandfather was Vicente "Inting" Fernan, a prosecutor from Cebu.

Matteo first became known for his racing skills. He started kart racing at age 11. He won the "Karter of the Year" award three times.

Matteo became interested in acting after taking classes in New York. When he returned to the Philippines, he studied theater at Brent International School. He also spent two years at Columbia College in Chicago, studying musical theater. In 2023, he earned a degree in Marketing Management from the University of San Jose–Recoletos.

Matteo's Entertainment Career

Matteo Guidicelli started acting in 2007. He joined the TV show Go Kada Go. He then became part of ABS-CBN's Star Magic, a talent agency. The next year, he had roles in Kung Fu Kids and Ligaw na Bulaklak.

Later, he moved to GMA Network and appeared on SOP Fully Charged. In 2010, he returned to ABS-CBN. He got a big role in the fantasy TV series Agua Bendita.

In 2011, Matteo became a host for the TV show Happy Yipee Yehey!. He also played Trevor Wu in My Binondo Girl, a TV show filmed in Manila and Hong Kong. This year was also when he acted in his first movie, Catch Me, I'm in Love.

In 2012, he got his first main role in a movie. He played Carlo in the film My Cactus Heart.

Besides acting, Matteo also became a singer. In 2011, he released his first song, "Someone Like You." In 2016, he launched his first album, Matteo Guidicelli. He also had a main role in the romantic TV show Dolce Amore in 2016.

After 13 years with Star Magic, Matteo signed a contract with Viva Artists Agency. He later returned to GMA Network and joined the morning show Unang Hirit.

Matteo Guidicelli is a reservist in the Philippine Army. This means he is a civilian who trains with the military and can be called to serve if needed. He holds the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. He has completed tough training with the 1st Scout Ranger Regiment and the Presidential Security Group. The military confirmed he was treated like any other trainee.

In November 2019, Matteo got engaged to his longtime girlfriend, singer Sarah Geronimo. They had a private Christian wedding ceremony on February 20, 2020.
