Sarah Asher Tua Geronimo-Guidicelli (born July 25, 1988) is a famous Filipino singer and actress. She has won many awards, including a Billboard Women in Music Award, an MTV Europe Music Award, and a World Music Award. In 2021, Tatler magazine called her one of Asia's most influential people. Billboard Philippines also named her Woman of the Year in 2024.
Sarah Geronimo first became known after winning the TV talent show Star for a Night in 2002. She signed with Viva Records in 2003 and released her first album, Popstar: A Dream Come True. Over the years, she changed her style and released many successful albums like Becoming (2006) and The Great Unknown (2015). Her song "Tala" became a huge dance trend in 2019 and 2020.

Sarah Asher Tua Geronimo was born on July 25, 1988, in Santa Cruz, Manila. She is the third of four children. Her family faced money problems, and they moved homes often. Her mother even started a salon to help the family.
Sarah's father was her first singing teacher. He helped her practice, even trying unusual methods like submerging her in a water drum to strengthen her voice, inspired by singer Regine Velasquez. Sarah started singing at age two and performed for crowds. She joined many amateur singing contests. Her first TV appearances were at age four in shows like Penpen de Sarapen and Ang TV. Becoming a Star (2002–2005)
Winning Star for a Night and First Album
When Sarah was in junior high school, she joined the TV singing contest Star for a Night. She had auditioned three times before finally getting in. On March 1, 2003, she won the competition at the PhilSports Arena. She sang "To Love You More" by Celine Dion. After winning, she signed a record deal with Viva Records. She continued her studies through homeschooling and finished high school in 2007.
After her big win, Sarah released her first album, Popstar: A Dream Come True. It included popular songs like "Sa Iyo" and "Forever's Not Enough," plus her version of "To Love You More."
