Matthew Reed's College and Early Pro Career
Matthew Reed went to Grambling State University. After college, he was chosen by the Buffalo Bills in the 1973 NFL draft. He was the 240th player picked overall. However, he did not play for the Buffalo Bills in the National Football League (NFL).
Playing in the World Football League
Matthew started his professional football journey in the World Football League (WFL). He joined the Birmingham Americans in 1974.
