Early Life and Education
Maurice Collins grew up in Clonakilty, a town in County Cork, Ireland. He is related to a famous Irish leader, Michael Collins. Maurice studied English and Philosophy at University College Cork. He later went to King's Inns to study law.
Becoming a Lawyer
Maurice Collins became a lawyer in 1989. This means he could represent people in court. In 2003, he became a senior counsel. This is a special title for experienced lawyers. He also became a "bencher" of the King's Inns in 2017. This is an honor given to senior lawyers.
