Maurice George Morrow, Baron Morrow (born 27 September 1948) is a Unionist politician from Northern Ireland. He represents the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) and has been the Chairman of the DUP since 2000.
Early Life and Education
Maurice Morrow grew up in Northern Ireland. His parents were Ernest and Eliza Jane Morrow. He went to school at Ballygawley Primary School. He also attended Drumglass High School and Dungannon Technical College. After finishing his education, he worked as an estate agent.
Political Career
Lord Morrow began his political journey in 1973. He was elected to the Fermanagh District Council. He also served as a councillor on the Dungannon and South Tyrone Borough Council.
He became a MLA for the Northern Ireland Assembly in 1998. He held this position until 2017. In July 2000, he became the Minister for Social Development. This role was part of the Northern Ireland Executive.
In 2006, Lord Morrow was chosen to become a life peer. This meant he would join the House of Lords, which is part of the UK Parliament. He was given the title Baron Morrow, of Clogher Valley. He officially joined the House of Lords on June 27, 2006. This was an important step for the DUP, as it gave them their first members in the House of Lords.

Lord Morrow is married and has two daughters. He is interested in helping rural areas grow and develop.
