Max Rhyser (born July 11, 1982) is an American actor and model. He is known for his roles in films like Homeland and Frankenstein vs. The Mummy, and for his work in the web series In Between Men.
Early Life
Max Rhyser was born in Amsterdam, Netherlands. His father is from Denmark, and his mother is American-Israeli.
His family moved around Europe often when he was growing up. This was because his father's job changed every few years. When Max was 10, his family moved to Paris. At 15, they moved to Denmark.
No matter where they lived, Max always joined the local school theater group. He can speak many languages, including English, Dutch, French, and Danish.
Career
Max Rhyser's older brother was also an actor, mainly in Europe. Max started his own acting career on stage in Amsterdam when he was 18.
In 2005, he began working in television and film. He also signed with Q Management as a model. His first TV role was in a British comedy show called My Hero. In 2007, he appeared in the film A Four Letter Word.
Max's big movie role was in Homeland. In this film, he played Kobi Zucker, an Israeli character who moves to New York City and falls in love. He also appeared in the 2010 movie Violet Tendencies.
Between 2009 and 2011, Max acted in several short films. These included Heads And Tails, Dawn, and The Teacher. He also played the character 'Long John' again in Violet Tendencies, a role he first had in A Four Letter Word.
From 2010 to 2011, Max was a main character in a web series called In Between Men. This show was about a group of gay friends living in New York. The series is available for free online and has gained many fans.
In 2012, Max appeared in the film The Genesis of Lincoln and another movie called Chaser. In 2014, he starred as Dr. Victor Frankenstein in the horror film Frankenstein vs. The Mummy.
Personal Life
Max Rhyser lives in New York City. He moved to London when he was 20 years old. He is Jewish and is openly gay.
