Early Life and Moving Around
Max Rhyser was born in Amsterdam, Netherlands. His father was Danish, and his mother was American-Israeli. When he was a child, his family moved often around Europe. This was because his father frequently changed jobs.
When Max was 10 years old, his family moved to Paris. At 15, they moved to Denmark. No matter where they lived, Max always joined the local school theater group. He can speak several languages, including English, Dutch, French, and Danish. He also speaks some Spanish.
Max Rhyser's Acting Career
Max's older brother was also an actor, mainly in Europe. This helped Max get started in the acting world. Max began his professional acting career at 18 in Amsterdam, performing on stage.
Starting in TV and Film
In 2005, Max started his television and film career. He also signed with Q Management as a model. His first acting role on TV was a guest appearance in the BBC comedy show My Hero.
In 2007, he appeared in the film A Four Letter Word. Max's breakthrough movie was Homeland. In this film, he played Kobi Zucker, an Israeli character who moves to New York City. He also appeared in the 2010 film Violet Tendencies. His next movie was The Genesis of Lincoln. Max also continues to work as a stage actor.
Short Films and Web Series
Between 2009 and 2011, Max Rhyser acted in several short films. These included Heads And Tails, Dawn, The Teacher, A Fallen Glass, Scotch, The Walk Home, Requited, The Lair, and Decent Men.
In 2010, he got a chance to play his character 'Long John' again in the feature film Violet Tendencies. From 2010 to 2011, Max was a main character in a web series called In Between Men. This series was about a group of friends living in New York. The show was available for free on YouTube and gained many fans.
Recent Film Projects
In May 2012, the film The Genesis of Lincoln was released. Another feature film, Chaser, was also being made around that time.
In 2014, Max starred in the independent horror film Frankenstein vs. The Mummy. He acted alongside Robert MacNaughton and Ashton Leigh in this movie.
Where Max Lives
Max Rhyser lived in London for a while, moving there when he was 20. Currently, he lives in New York City.
