Maya Ann Brady-Timmons, born on June 1, 2001, is a talented American college softball player. She plays for the UCLA Bruins team. Even as a freshman in 2020, she was recognized as the Softball America Freshman of the Year because of her amazing skills.

High School Star
Maya Brady went to Oaks Christian School in Westlake Village, California. There, she played as a middle infielder. She helped her team win three Marmonte League titles. Maya was also named the league's Most Valuable Player (MVP) twice.
During her senior year, she had a fantastic batting average of .558. This means she got a hit more than half the times she batted! She also hit 12 home runs and brought in 32 runs batted in (RBI). After this great season, she earned many awards. She was named the Marmonte League MVP and the Ventura County Star All-County Softball Player of the Year. Experts like FloSoftball and Softball America ranked her as the No. 2 recruit in the entire nation.
College Success at UCLA
Maya Brady started playing college softball for the UCLA Bruins in 2020. In her very first week, she showed how good she was. She got 9 hits in 18 tries, hit four home runs, and brought in nine RBI. Because of this, she was named Pac-12 Freshman and Player of the Week.
Even though her freshman season was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic, she still had a great year. She finished with a .356 batting average and led her team with seven home runs. She also tied for first with 28 RBI. For her outstanding performance, she was named Softball America Freshman of the Year.
In 2021, her second year, Maya continued to shine. She had a .333 batting average and stole six bases. She hit 13 home runs and brought in 36 RBI. After this season, she was named to the first team All-Pac-12. She was also chosen for the NFCA first team All-American, which means she was one of the best players in the country.
The 2023 season was another record-breaking year for Maya. She started by getting 11 hits in a row! This set a new record for UCLA, beating previous records held by famous players like Stacey Nuveman and Lisa Fernandez. She was named the NFCA National Player of the Week. She ended the 2023 regular season with an amazing .456 batting average, 16 home runs, and 56 RBI. She led her conference in many important stats, like batting average and total bases. After this incredible season, she was named the Pac-12 Conference Softball Player of the Year.
Stepping Up to Professional Softball
On January 29, 2025, Maya Brady took a big step in her career. She was chosen by the Talons team in the first-ever Athletes Unlimited Softball League draft. This means she will soon be playing professional softball!
Playing for Team USA
Maya Brady has also played for her country. She represented the United States at the 2024 Women's Softball World Cup. Her team played very well and won a silver medal!
About Maya's Family
Maya Brady was born to Maureen Brady and Brian Timmons. Her mother, Maureen, was also a great softball player. She was an All-American pitcher at Fresno State. Maya has some famous relatives too! She is the niece of American football legend Tom Brady and former Major League Baseball player Kevin Youkilis.
