Mazarunia is a group of small fish known as cichlids. These fish live in the Mazaruni River, which is a branch of the Essequibo River in the country of Guyana. They are called dwarf cichlids because they are quite tiny. The biggest Mazarunia fish only grow to about 8.5 centimeters (about 3.3 inches) long.
