McDonald is a small village in southern Trumbull County, Ohio, United States. It is located along the Mahoning River. In 2020, about 3,172 people lived there. McDonald is considered a suburb in the larger Youngstown–Warren metropolitan area.

The Story of McDonald Village
The village of McDonald was named after a local family. It was started by a big steel company called Carnegie Steel. This company later became known as U.S. Steel. McDonald was what is called a "company town." This means the company built the town, including homes and stores, for its workers.
