Where the Creek Flows
McLaughlin Creek begins in a swampy area. It flows west, going under a road called PA 89. Then, it turns southwest and flows around two areas known as Fink and Gilson Ridges.
After going around these ridges, the creek turns south. It quickly flows downhill through a place called Bog Hollow. At the bottom of Bog Hollow, McLaughlin Creek joins Thompson Creek. Bog Hollow is a special area that shows where glaciers used to be.
