History of McNaughton
The community of McNaughton has an interesting past. It used to have its own post office. This post office opened a long time ago, in 1890. It helped people send and receive mail for many years. However, it closed on May 21, 2011.
McNaughton got its name from a person who lived there. This person was a local sawmill operator. A sawmill is a place where logs are cut into lumber. So, the community was named to honor this important local figure.
