Media is a small village located in Henderson County, Illinois, United States. In 2020, 121 people lived there. This was a small increase from 107 people in 2010. Media is part of the larger Burlington, Iowa–Illinois area.

Where is Media Located?
Media is in the southeastern part of Henderson County. Illinois Route 116 goes through the village. This road leads about 9 miles northwest to U.S. Route 34 near Biggsville. It also goes about 11 miles southeast to Roseville. The village covers an area of about 1.70 square miles (4.40 square kilometers). All of this area is land.

How Media Got Its Name
People believe the village got its name because it is located halfway between two major cities: Chicago and Kansas City. It sits right on the Santa Fe Railroad line, making it a "middle" or "media" point.
Getting Around Media
Amtrak's Southwest Chief train passes through Media. This train travels between Los Angeles and Chicago. However, it does not stop in Media. The closest station for this train is in Galesburg, about 34 miles northeast. Another train, the California Zephyr, has a stop in Burlington, which is about 18 miles west.
