History of Medora
Medora was started in 1853 by a person named West Lee Wright. He owned a square mile of land and decided to create the town in one corner of it.
Wright named the town "Medora" after musical notes. He even called it "The Town of Harmony." This is why the name is supposed to be pronounced "Me Doe Rae."
A fun fact about Medora is that it was used as the setting for the music video of "Hurts So Good" by famous musician John Mellencamp!
