Mehmet Özhaseki (born 25 May 1957) is a Turkish politician. He is a member of the Justice and Development Party (AK Party). He has served as a government minister and as the Mayor of Kayseri.

Early Life and Education
Mehmet Özhaseki was born in Kayseri, Turkey on 25 May 1957. He started his schooling in Kayseri. Later, he studied electronic engineering at Hacettepe University. He finished his education by studying law at Istanbul University.
Political Career
Serving as Mayor
Mehmet Özhaseki began his political career in local government. He was elected to lead the Melikgazi area in March 1994.
Mayor of Kayseri City
In 2004, he was elected as the Mayor of Kayseri city. He won with a large number of votes, about 72%. He believed his success came from running the city well.
He was re-elected as Mayor of Kayseri in March 2009. He served in this role for many years.
Serving as a Minister
Özhaseki became a Member of Parliament for Kayseri in the June 2015 general election. He was elected again in November 2015.
Minister of Environment and Urban Planning
On 24 November 2015, he was appointed as the Minister of Environment and Urban Planning. This role involves looking after the environment and planning how cities are built. He was part of the government led by Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım.
He was replaced by Murat Kurum for a time. However, he was appointed to the same minister role again. Murat Kurum took over the role once more in 2024.
