Main ingredients Milk chocolate

Mekupelet (pronounced Meh-koo-peh-let) is a very special chocolate bar from Israel. It's famous for its unique look and taste! Imagine a chocolate bar made of super thin, folded layers of delicious milk chocolate. The name "Mekupelet" actually means "folded" in Hebrew, which perfectly describes how it's made.

This tasty treat has been around for a long time. It was first created in 1935 by a company called Elite. Today, Elite is part of a bigger company known as the Strauss Group. Mekupelet is loved for how crumbly it is and its delicate, thin flakes. Some people say it's a bit like the British chocolate bar called Cadbury Flake.

Mekupelet is so popular that it's not just sold in Israel. It's also sent to other countries around the world! There's even a special version called 'Mehadrin' that is made at the Magadim factory, also part of the Strauss Group.

Different Kinds of Mekupelet

Over the years, the makers of Mekupelet have created several fun versions of this chocolate bar. This means you can find different types to try!

Some of the varieties that have been made include:

  • A version made with dark chocolate for those who like a richer taste.
  • A white chocolate version, offering a different sweet flavor.
  • A mini-version that is smaller, perfect for a quick treat.
  • An extended length (XL) bar, which is longer than the regular size.
