Melinda Czink (born 22 October 1982) is a former professional tennis player from Hungary. She was born in Budapest. Melinda played tennis as a professional from 2000 to 2014.

On 21 September 2009, she reached her highest singles ranking. She was ranked world No. 37. Melinda played in two major WTA Tour singles finals. In 2005, she was the runner-up in Canberra. In 2009, she won her first and only WTA Tour title in Quebec City. She also won many titles on the ITF Circuit. She won 20 singles titles and 9 doubles titles.

Melinda Czink's Tennis Journey

Early Career and First Wins (2000–2008)

Melinda Czink started her professional tennis journey in 2000. Her first tournament was in Budapest. By 2003, she was among the top 100 players in the world. During these years, she won several singles and doubles titles. These wins were on the ITF Circuit.

In 2005, she reached her first WTA Tour singles final. This happened at the Canberra International in Australia. She played against Ana Ivanovic in the final. Melinda lost this match.

Reaching Her Peak (2009)

The year 2009 was very important for Melinda Czink. She entered the top 50 players worldwide. She also won her first WTA Tour title in Quebec City, Canada. She was the fifth seed in this tournament. In the semifinal, she beat Aleksandra Wozniak. Then, in the final, she won against Lucie Šafářová.

She also reached one semifinal and four quarterfinals that season. At the end of 2009, she played in the Tournament of Champions in Bali.

Playing Around the World (2010–2012)

Melinda started 2010 at the Brisbane International in Australia. She won her first two matches. She then lost to Justine Henin in the quarterfinals. She also reached the doubles final there with Arantxa Parra Santonja. They were runners-up.

In 2011, Melinda missed the Australian Open. She won two ITF events in the United States. She then played at Wimbledon. She was ranked No. 262, the lowest in the tournament. She surprised everyone by beating the tenth seed, Samantha Stosur. This was her biggest win ever. She then won another match before losing in the third round.

In 2012, Melinda played in several tournaments. She played in Australia, Mexico, and the United States. She reached the second round of the French Open. She won her first match easily. However, she lost in the next round.

Final Years in Tennis (2013–2014)

Melinda Czink continued to play in 2013. She played in the Australian Open and French Open. She retired from professional tennis in 2014.
