Melinda May's Story
Melinda May is a very experienced S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. She earned the nickname "The Cavalry" after a very dangerous mission in Bahrain. During this mission, she saved many people, but it was a tough experience for her.
After that event, she stopped working in the field. She took on a desk job instead. However, her old friend and boss, Phil Coulson, convinced her to return. He needed her help to form a new team of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents.

In the Comics
Melinda May first appeared in Marvel Comics in 2015. She joined Phil Coulson's team in the comics too. One of her first missions was to get back an ancient weapon called the Uru Sword. This sword once belonged to Heimdall. She fought against a group of bad guys who had the sword.
Later, she helped protect Wiccan, a magic user. She teamed up with Scarlet Witch to find out who was making special bullets that could hurt people with magic. They traveled to a cold place called Antarctica to stop them.
May also went to a place called the Dark Dimension. She fought many creatures there called Mindless Ones. She even saw Absorbing Man defeat a powerful villain named Dormammu.
Melinda May has also worked with other heroes. She teamed up with Mockingbird to stop a doctor doing illegal experiments. She also helped Silk, Hulk, Wolverine, and Ghost Rider fight a strange alien creature.
