History of Mendon
Mendon used to be called Guilford. It was officially planned out and started in 1834. A post office opened in Mendon in 1839, helping people send and receive mail.
The Mendon Village Hall is a special building. It is so important that it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This means it is a historic site worth protecting.
