First Generation (1967–1986)
The first version of the T2 was launched in 1967. You could get it as a box van, which is like a big box on wheels for carrying things. It was also available as a flatbed light truck, which has an open back for carrying larger items. Many people used these vehicles for deliveries or as fire engines.
Second Generation (1986–1996)
The second version of the T2 came out in 1986. It was built until 1996. This generation was mostly made as a minibus. Minibuses are smaller buses often used for school trips or local transport.
The T2 is still built in Argentina today! It is known there as the L 710 and the LO 915.
Replacement
In 1996, the T2 was replaced by a newer model called the Mercedes-Benz Vario.
