Mia Sara grew up in Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn, New York. Her family has Italian-American roots and is Catholic. Her mother, Diana, worked as a stylist and photographer. Her father, Jerome Sarapochiello, was also a photographer and an artist. Mia went to St. Ann's School in Brooklyn.
Her Acting Career
Mia Sara started her acting journey in 1983. One of her first big roles was Princess Lili in the 1985 fantasy film Legend. In this movie, she acted alongside Tom Cruise.
A year later, she became even more famous. She played Sloane Peterson, the girlfriend of Ferris Bueller, in the hit comedy movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off. This film was very popular and helped her gain wide recognition.

Mia Sara continued to take on interesting roles. In 1987, she starred in the miniseries Queenie. She also appeared in the 1992 film A Stranger Among Us, which was directed by Sidney Lumet.

In March 1996, Mia Sara married Jason Connery. Jason is the son of the famous actor Sean Connery. Mia and Jason had worked together in a movie called Bullet to Beijing. In June 1997, they had a son named Dashiell Quinn Connery, who is also an actor. Mia and Jason later divorced in 2002.
In 2005, Mia Sara had a daughter with Brian Henson. She and Brian Henson got married in 2010.
