Michael Robert DeLuise (born August 4, 1969) is an American actor, director, and producer. He is well-known for his roles in TV shows like seaQuest DSV, 21 Jump Street, and Gilmore Girls.
Michael's Early Life and Family
Michael DeLuise was born in Los Angeles, California. His birthday is August 4, 1969. He grew up in a family of performers. His father was the famous actor and comedian Dom DeLuise. His mother was actress Carol Arthur. Michael has two brothers, Peter DeLuise and David DeLuise. Both of his brothers are also actors. Peter is also a writer and director.
Michael's Acting Career
Michael DeLuise started acting in movies when he was young. His first movie role was in 1979. He appeared with his father in the comedy film Hot Stuff.
In 1990, Michael got a big role on TV. He joined the Fox TV series 21 Jump Street. He played Officer Joey Penhall. His real-life brother, Peter DeLuise, played Officer Doug Penhall on the same show. Michael and Peter also worked together on another TV show. This was SeaQuest DSV, where Michael played Tony Piccolo from 1994 to 1996.
Michael also had recurring roles on other popular TV series. He played TJ on Gilmore Girls. He was also Andy Sipowicz's older son on NYPD Blue. He made guest appearances on shows like CSI: NY, Lost, and Stargate SG-1.
In movies, Michael played Alan in Wayne's World. Alan was one of Wayne's friends. He also played Matt Wilson in Encino Man. Matt Wilson was the main bully in that movie.
