Peter John DeLuise was born on November 6, 1966. He is an actor, director, producer, and writer from both the United States and Canada. You might know him best as Officer Doug Penhall from the TV show 21 Jump Street. He is also famous for directing and writing episodes of many science fiction TV shows, especially those in the Stargate series.
Peter DeLuise has also been a director for the Hallmark Channel show When Calls the Heart since its third season. He even wrote an episode for the show's ninth season. Peter comes from a family of actors; his parents are Dom DeLuise and Carol Arthur. His younger brothers, Michael DeLuise and David DeLuise, are also actors.

Early Acting Roles
Peter DeLuise started his acting career in the 1979 movie Hot Stuff. He became well-known for playing Officer Doug Penhall in the TV series 21 Jump Street, which started in 1987. He acted alongside other rising stars like Johnny Depp in this show.
Later, his brother Michael DeLuise joined 21 Jump Street in its fifth season. Michael played Peter's younger brother, Officer Joey Penhall, on the show. Peter also had a memorable role as Dagwood in the NBC science fiction TV series SeaQuest DSV from 1994 to 1996.
