Michael McElhatton is a talented Irish actor and writer. He was born on September 12, 1963. Many people know him best for playing the character Roose Bolton in the popular HBO TV series Game of Thrones. He was in the show from 2012 to 2016. Michael has also appeared in many other movies and TV shows, like Chernobyl and The Wheel of Time.

Early Life and Education

Michael McElhatton was born in Terenure, a part of Dublin, Ireland, on September 12, 1963. He started learning about acting at Terenure College. This school was well-known for its strong drama programs. After that, he moved to London and spent eight years studying there. In 1987, he graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. This is a very famous acting school. In the early 1990s, Michael came back to Ireland. He began his acting career mostly in theatre and on television.
