Michaela du Toit is a talented figure skater and actress. She was born on January 10, 2000. Michaela has represented South Africa in her skating career. She won the South African National Champion title twice. She earned these titles in 2015 and again in 2017. Michaela also starred in the 2016 film Ice Girls. In the movie, she acted alongside Olympic medalist Elvis Stojko.

Michaela's Early Life
Michaela du Toit was born in Poole, England. This was on January 10, 2000. However, she grew up in Toronto, Canada. When she was six years old, Michaela started playing hockey. Later, she decided to switch to figure skating. She first represented Canada in her skating. Then, she chose to represent South Africa. This is where her family originally comes from.
Her Acting Debut
In 2016, Michaela tried acting for the first time. She played a character named Maddie. This role was in the TV movie Ice Girls. The movie was shown on the Family Channel.
Michaela's Skating Journey
Michaela du Toit began competing in the ISU Junior Grand Prix (JGP) series. This was during the 2013–14 skating season. Her first JGP event was in Mexico. She finished 16th there. In 2013, she also won her first junior South African national title.
Junior World Championships
Michaela competed at her first Junior World Championships in 2014. She finished 37th in the short program. This meant she did not move on to the free skate. She then had two more JGP assignments in the 2014–15 season. She placed 15th in Japan and 12th in Germany. She won her second junior South African national title in 2014. At the 2015 Junior World Championships, she finished 37th again.
Senior National Champion
Michaela won her first senior South African National Championships in 2015. This was a big achievement for her.
In the 2015–16 season, she had two more JGP events. She finished 18th in Poland and 13th in Spain. Michaela also competed at the 2016 Four Continents Championships. She finished 18th at this event. At the 2016 Junior World Championships, she placed 31st.
Later Competitions
Michaela competed at the 2016 Autumn Classic International. She finished 15th there. In 2017, she won her second senior national title. This showed her continued success in South African skating. At the 2017 Four Continents Championships, she finished 23rd in the short program. However, she later withdrew from the competition before the free skate.
