Early TV Appearances
In 2010, Michele was a contestant on the show Chopped. On this show, chefs compete to create dishes from mystery ingredients. She was eliminated after the main course round.
In 2011, Michele won an episode of 24 Hour Restaurant Battle. She teamed up with her partner, Davina Thomasula. They won the competition, but their idea for a restaurant called Avery Point did not open. At that time, Michele and Davina owned a catering business. It was called Stuft Catering and was located in Brooklyn, New York.
Becoming a Food Network Star
In 2012, Michele Ragussis joined the eighth season of Food Network Star. This show looks for the next big TV chef. Michele was one of the top four contestants. She even filmed a sample TV show called My New England. This pilot episode showed what her own series might be like. In the end, she did not win the competition. The winner was Justin Warner.

The winner of Comeback Kitchen could re-enter the main Food Network Star competition. Comeback Kitchen started airing on May 8, 2016. Michele was eliminated from this competition on May 22.

Michele Ragussis was born into an Italian and Greek family. Her hometown was Derby, Connecticut. She later moved to Bristol, Rhode Island, to attend college. Although some reports say she grew up in Brooklyn, New York, she moved there after college. Michele has two sisters. She also lived in Rockland, Maine, for some time.
Today, Michele Ragussis is an Executive chef. She works at Central House at The Crown. This restaurant is located in Provincetown, Massachusetts, on Commercial Street.
