Michihiro Yasuda (安田 理大, Yasuda Michihiro, born 20 December 1987) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a full-back. Michihiro was part of the Japan national team until 2011.

His younger brother, Kodai, is also a professional footballer. He plays for Ehime FC.

Michihiro Yasuda was born in Kobe, Japan, on December 20, 1987. He grew up in Suita, Osaka from the age of five. He joined the youth team of Gamba Osaka in 2006.

Playing for Gamba Osaka

Yasuda started his professional career with Gamba Osaka. He played many games for them. He was a key player in their defense.

Moving to Europe

On January 5, 2011, Yasuda moved to the Dutch team Vitesse Arnhem. He was the first Japanese footballer to play for Vitesse Arnhem. This was a big step in his career.

Returning to Japan

After playing in the Netherlands, Yasuda returned to Japan. He played for several different teams. These included Júbilo Iwata, Sagan Tosu, Vissel Kobe, and Nagoya Grampus.

Later Career and Retirement

In 2017, he played for Busan IPark in South Korea. Later, he joined Albirex Niigata and JEF United Chiba. In 2022, Yasuda joined Matsumoto Yamaga. On January 4, 2023, Michihiro Yasuda announced his retirement from football. He had a professional career that lasted 16 years.

Youth National Teams

In July 2007, Yasuda was chosen for the Japan U-20 national team. He played in the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup. He played all four matches as a left-sided defender. In August 2008, he joined the Japan U-23 national team. He played in the 2008 Summer Olympics.

Senior National Team

In February 2008, Yasuda was selected for the main Japan national team. He made his first appearance on February 17 against North Korea. This was during the 2008 East Asian Football Championship. He played a total of 7 matches for the senior national team. He scored 1 goal for Japan.
