Middle Island is a cool island located in the Ohio River in West Virginia, United States. It's found right near the town of St. Marys in Pleasants County.
This island is so important that a nearby stream, Middle Island Creek, is named after it! The island sits where this creek meets the Ohio River. A special part of the river called "The Thoroughfare" flows between the island and the riverbank. A bridge connects Middle Island to downtown St. Marys, making it easy to visit.
