Midway is a community in Santa Rosa County, Florida, United States. It's called an unincorporated community because it doesn't have its own local government like a city. It's also a census designated place (CDP), which means the U.S. Census Bureau defines its boundaries for counting people.
Midway is part of the larger Pensacola area. It is located on the Fairpoint Peninsula, between the towns of Gulf Breeze and Navarre. Many people think of Midway as part of these nearby communities. Its exact borders can be a bit tricky to define. Generally, it includes the area from where Soundside Drive meets U.S. Highway 98, stretching east until Highway 98 becomes Navarre Parkway.
Midway is home to Midway Water Systems, Inc., which provides water to Gulf Breeze and Navarre. The community also has its own fire department, the Midway Fire Department. Another important place in Midway is the VFW "Bruce J Bell Memorial" Post 4407, known as the 'Friendliest Little Post in Florida'.
