Mighty Truck of Stuff (MTOS) was a fun British TV show for kids. It was a game show where a big truck got filled with awesome toys. One lucky viewer who called in could win everything inside the truck! After the show, the truck would actually drive to the winner's house.
The show aired on Saturday mornings on the CBBC Channel. It ran from October 15, 2005, to July 8, 2006. The main host was Reggie Yates. The idea for the show came from Joe Mace and Juliet Denison. Even though it was made for kids aged 8 to 12, its funny characters and unique humor made it popular with some older viewers too.

Meet the Mighty Truck of Stuff Characters
The show had many memorable characters, often called 'packers'. They helped fill the truck and make the show exciting.
Main Presenters
- Reggie Yates: He was the main host of the show. Reggie kept everything moving and was known for his funny reactions.
- Kojo: Kojo was Reggie's energetic co-host and assistant. He often got into funny situations with Reggie.
The Packers
The 'packers' were a team of people who helped with the games and toys.
- Pablo 'Packer': His real name is Phil Gallagher. Pablo was in charge of the packers. He was known for saying funny, common phrases during the games, like "How egg-citing!"
- Double H 'Packer': His real name is Hamden Huggett. Double H was a quiet member of the team, similar to Nick Packer. He often had a comical smile.
- Fancy 'Packer': Fancy often showed how the toys worked, like go-karts. Reggie always said his name in a funny way.
- Lonely 'Packer': He appeared in the last two episodes. He was quiet and mostly just looked at the toys.
- Dani 'Packer': Dani, whose real name is Dani Harmer, was the only female packer. She is also known for starring in the TV show Tracy Beaker.
- Nick 'Packer': Nick was a silent member of the team, almost like a mime. He was famous for his tight outfits and for eating donuts and muffins. Reggie often teased him about his outfits. Nick would sometimes get grumpy and was often told off by Reggie. He had a special "phone dance" that he didn't like others to copy.
Reggie's Superfans
- Superfans: These were Reggie's biggest fans, Reese ("The Biggest Fan") and Jared ("A Fan"), both from New Zealand. Each week, they would offer funny "services" to people in a shopping center. They did this to get things to put on the truck. They wore shirts that said "I Love Reggie" (or "I Also Love Reggie" for Jared). They usually ended up with silly, worthless gifts for the truck, like plasters or empty crisp packets.
The Mighty Truck Itself
The Mighty Truck of Stuff was a large, turquoise truck. It was kept in a depot in West London. The truck had the Mighty Truck of Stuff logo on its sides. Sometimes, the truck was even used as a stage for games, like "Show Me the Ropes." In this game, two people would act out an event, but their arms were controlled by the packers using ropes!
Popular Catchphrases from the Show
The show had many funny phrases that the hosts and packers would say.
- "It's a limerick, limerick, limerick, limerick..." This chant was sung when viewers sent in limerick poems.
- "No! No! Nooooooo! Why??" Reggie would shout this when he failed to win a prize for the truck. He would often drop to his knees dramatically.
- "Its-a very nice!" Reggie often used this phrase to describe gifts for the truck.
- "Leave it!" When something went wrong or a packer was being teased, Reggie would shout this to calm everyone down. He especially used it when Nick Packer got angry.
- "Come follow me, come follow me, come follow me." Reggie would say this when he wanted the camera to follow him, usually when he was going to pick someone to call for the truck.
- "SHOW ME THE TRUCK!" This was the most important catchphrase! The viewer who got a call from Reggie had to shout this over the phone to win the truck. Sometimes, Kojo or Nick would be in the background silently mouthing the phrase. For the "World Cup Episode," viewers had to shout "SHOW ME THE WORLD CUP!"
- "He's got to do what?! Wearing what?! Whilst in a what?!" Before The Batman cartoon, Reggie would get a call from a "Commissioner." The Commissioner would give a wacky task to the "Old Man, Fat Man Bat Fan." Reggie would repeat the task in a surprised way.
- "He loves the cake/I love cake!" Kojo used to say this when he got cake. But in the "World Cup Episode," he started saying he loved cookies instead!
- "Get into your positions." Before the cartoon Pinky and the Brain, Reggie would tell everyone to get into a funny position to watch the show.
The End of the Show and What Came Next
When a viewer won the Mighty Truck of Stuff, everyone in the studio – the audience, packers, and hosts – would cheer. Reggie, often with Nick, would then drive the truck out of the studio to the winner's home!
The last episode of Mighty Truck of Stuff aired on July 8, 2006. After that, there were two special Sport Relief shows on July 15 called Get Sub'd! and Reggie Goes the Extra Mile. A week later, on July 22, a new Saturday morning show called The POD started on both the CBBC Channel and BBC Two.
The Old Man, Fat Man, Bat Fan Segment
Every week, before showing The Batman cartoon, Reggie would get a phone call from a character called the 'Commissioner'. The Commissioner would give a silly and often rhyming challenge to win toys for the show. For example, one task was to "Glue 42 blue shoes to the boxing kangaroo's blue canoe, before the tattooed dude eats his stew."
In these segments, a man dressed in a large Batman suit would try to complete the task. For instance, he might try to glue shoes to a plastic boat while another person in a boxing kangaroo outfit played around. After the cartoon, they would check how well the task was done. In the second series, the "Old Man, Fat Man, Bat Fan" was played by Nigel Rouine every week. He had tasks like "Eating the pasta fasta than the rasta." In the very last episode, the character was played by Jade Goody. These segments were very funny and added a lot of unique humor to the show.
