The Migration Museum is a special place in Adelaide, South Australia. It's a museum that tells the story of how people came to live in South Australia. It's one of three museums run by the History Trust of South Australia.
This museum shows how different groups of people have moved to and settled in South Australia over time. It has many items that are always on display, plus new exhibits that change regularly. The museum was started by the government in 1983 and opened on November 23, 1986. It is the oldest museum of its kind in Australia.

Where to Find the Museum
The museum is located on Kintore Avenue. It's right next to the State Library of South Australia, the South Australian Museum, and the University of Adelaide. The museum buildings are old and made of a blue-grey stone called bluestone. They are built around a central courtyard.
A Look at the Past of the Site
Before it was a museum, this site had an interesting history. From 1850 to 1918, some of the buildings were used as a place to help people who needed support. Even earlier, the site was home to the "Native School." This school aimed to educate Aboriginal children.
