Growing Up and School
Mike Adeyemo was born in Lagos, Nigeria. When he was 15 years old, he moved to Maryland, in the United States. He went to Duval High School there. After high school, he studied at several colleges. These included Bowie State University, Prince Georges Community College, and the University of Phoenix.
Music and Business Journey
Mike Adeyemo started his music journey in a church choir. He sang in the Anglican Church Imesi Ekiti's choir. In 2004, he created his first music company called Jill Entertainment. A performer named Slim-mo joined his new company. The next year, Adeyemo and Slim-Mo released an album together. It was called The Struggle.
Later, Adeyemo started another company called Jil Inc. This company helped with marketing and promoting music. It was part of Jill Entertainment. Jil Inc. worked with artists like Young Buck from G-UNIT and Jamaican artist Lady-Saw. However, this company faced problems. It failed during the economic recession in 2008.
In 2010, Adeyemo started a new business, WTL Investors Inc. This company had different parts. These included WTL Wireless Solutions, WTL Tags & Title, and WTL Pack & Ship. In 2016, he founded Truth Records in Nigeria. He signed four new artists to this record label. Mike Adeyemo also signed himself as an artist under Truth Records. On June 1, 2019, he released his first song. It was called "Hallelujah." He sang this song with Samklef, a Nigerian producer. In October 2019, he released another song, "Bigger Man."
